Understanding Our Price CategoriesJanuary 6, 2020
We are a remodeling company. Here is why you should not remodel your home.
We all remember that triangle from high school: We were taught we have a hierarchy of needs. Right at the very bottom, the core of those needs, is “Shelter”. And, bam, remodeling comes in and disrupts this fundamental need that we all have.
Remodeling is a difficult process. There are literally hundreds of moving parts on every remodel, and any one of them could throw off the intricate dance that is remodeling. Your kitchen is where you prepare all your food and plan your week for your family. Your bathroom is, well, the bathroom, and you are asking us to take everything out of it? Really? Are you insane? This really is a difficult and emotional process. We often joke with clients that we only do this because we hate ourselves. This is tongue in cheek, most of the time.
When you boil it down, our job is to take a substantial amount of your savings and then invade your home and disrupt it at its very core, often for an extended period of time. Yikes.
Here is a sample of some of the emotional ups and downs you will experience during your remodel:
So, this is not for the faint of heart. That is why we take our time with you on the front end of the project to get to know you and your needs. We will work though a detailed plan, including all of your selections. We want you to, as much as is humanly possible, enjoy the process. We want that wavy line to be as flat as possible, and we, at the end of the day, truly want you to love your home.
